The Vrindavan leelas (divine pastimes) of Lord Krishna are the heart of his childhood and youth, as described primarily in the Tenth Canto of the Srimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana). These pastimes span roughly from his birth to his departure for Mathura at around 11 years of age.

· Birth & Early Childhood in Gokul: Born in Mathura but raised in Gokul by Nanda and Yashoda, Krishna’s infancy includes killing the demoness Putana and other demons sent by Kamsa.
· Moving to Vrindavan: The family relocates to Vrindavan, where Krishna and Balarama grow up as cowherd boys, playing with their friends (gopas) and tending calves.
· Major Pastimes in Vrindavan:
· Kaliya Mardan: Subduing the serpent Kaliya in the Yamuna River.
· Vastra Haran: The episode of stealing the gopis’ clothes (detailed below).
· Govardhan Leela: Lifting Govardhan Hill on his little finger for seven days to protect the villagers from Indra’s wrath.
· Raas Leela: The ecstatic dance with the gopis on an autumn full-moon night (detailed below).
· Departure: At about 11 years old, Krishna and Balarama are called to Mathura, ending the Vrindavan pastimes.

📿 Age at Vastra Haran (Stealing of Clothes)

Krishna performed the Vastra Haran leela when he was about 6 to 7 years old.

· Multiple sources state he was a child of about 6 years at that time.
· Some accounts specify it happened the same year he lifted Govardhan Hill, when he was 7 years old.

💃 Age at Raas Leela

The Raas Leela took place when Krishna was 8 years old.

· The Srimad Bhagavatam chronology states that Krishna lifted Govardhan Hill at age 7, and the Raas dance occurred in his eighth year.
· One source notes the Raas happened at eight years and one month.

Note: The gopis were generally older than Krishna. For instance, Radha is often described as 12 years old during this period.
