Ham Samhita (Brahma Samhita in English) is a wonderful and rare text of Vedic literature, in which Brahma himself has accepted Shri Krishna as the Supreme God. This Samhita gives a deep description of the divinity, leela and his abode of Lord Shri Krishna. In this text, through verses like “Ishwar: Param: Krishna:”, it has been propounded that Shri Krishna is the first man, and the entire universe is created, maintained and destroyed by him.

What is Brahma Samhita?

Brahma Samhita (Brahma Samhita in English) is originally considered to be a Vedic hymn of 100 chapters, which was composed by Brahma himself in the meditation of Shri Krishna. At present, only its fifth chapter is available, and that is famous since ancient times. It has a total of 62 verses. This text gives a deep description of Shri Krishna’s Golok Leelas, contemplation, Dham, Gopis, Shri Radha, and the origin of the creation.

It is revered within Gaudiya Vaishnavism, whose 16th-century founder, has 62 verses of chapter five, which were previously lost in the Adikeshava Perumal temple for some centuries. Kanyakumari in South India. Mitsunori Matsubara, in his Pancharatra Samhitas and early Vaishnava theology, dates the text to c. The 1300 AD text contains a highly esoteric description of Krishna in his abode, Goloka.

This portion was received by Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu during his visit to South India (at Adikeshava Temple in Kerala). Major verses of Brahma Samhita (Brahma Samhita in English):

“ईश्वरः परमः कृष्णः सच्चिदानन्दविग्रहः।
अनादिरादिर्गोविन्दः सर्वकारणकारणम्॥”
